Rachel Michalek is a Board-Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She received her Masters degree from Villanova University where she studied primary care and her undergraduate degree from The Pennsylvania State University. She is a member of the PA-Delaware Valley National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners where she sits on the Community Outreach Committee.

Rachel worked for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for thirteen years as a registered nurse, spending most of her time caring for infants transitioning out of intensive care. In doing so Rachel developed a passion for educating and empowering families to care for their infants. Advocare allows Rachel to continue to care for the population she loves while working closely with families and caregivers in the special newborn period. Rachel also works as a Nurse Practitioner at the Center for the Urban Child, a division of St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children.

A lifelong resident of Chester County, Rachel lives in Valley Forge with her husband and is a proud mom of four busy children!
